4 Ingredient Basic Flapjacks


Last week I was buried under work deadlines,a weekend project and my once-a-year bout of sickness (a nasty cold this time around which was remedied with essential oils,lots of chamomile tea,bowls of hearty turmeric and veg stew and watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix much to my own surprise).A week later,我又重新开始感冒了,我很庆幸我的感冒每年都会发生一次,而且不会引起很大的恐慌。今天,I am back to sharing a brand new recipe.A simple one this time that I bake quite often for the boys after school in that half-hour window when I know they are on their way back.4-Ingredient Basic Flapjacks that take William Hill黄金彩球about 5 minutes to put together and only 20 minutes to bake. Buttery oats and crisp caramel flavours,放学后你需要的只是烤箱里的温热。

  • 150克盐黄油

  • 50g instant quick oats


  1. Pre-heat oven to 200C convection (180C fan forced).
  2. Place butter and sugar in a small heavy bottomed saucepan on medium heat.Stir and cook for a couple of minutes until butter has melted.Remove from heat.
  3. Place flour and oats in a medium bowl.Pour butter mixture over the flour mixture.Mix well with a wooden spoon.
  4. Grease an 8-inch round shallow baking tin with melted butter.用勺子把flapjack面糊倒入准备好的罐子里。Spread gently with the back of a metal spoon,pressing down and smoothening the top.
  5. Bake in the pre-heated oven for 18-20 minutes (watch and make sure the slice is golden and the edges are starting to turn a darker brown).Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes (the slice will be very soft when it comes out of the oven but will harden up after 10-15 minutes of cooling at room temperature).
  6. Slice the flapjacks while the batter is still a bit warm.完全冷却,并储存在一个密封容器在厨房的凉爽的部分长达5天。
